My journey in triathlon began as a junior, where I first discovered the excitement and challenge of combining three sports into one. Although my path later led me into rugby where I joined a professional rugby academy, Worcester Warriors and gained invaluable experience in athletic development, teamwork and mindset the foundations of endurance sport were already there.
After stepping away from rugby, I became a personal trainer, further deepening my understanding of strength, conditioning, movement, and helping people achieve meaningful physical goals.Â
In 2023, I returned to the sport I grew up with and began working with the Amptri coaching team. Under the guidance of Sam Mountain, I rediscovered my passion for triathlon and quickly realised how much I loved not only training again, but learning, improving, and being part of a supportive coaching environment.
In 2024 I began working towards my triathlon coaching qualifications so that I could share that same experience with others. Across 2024 and 2025 I have continued building my knowledge, gaining hands-on coaching experience and finding a genuine passion for helping athletes grow within the sport. My background in rugby and personal training gives me a strong foundation in physical preparation, strength, mindset and athlete development skills that translate directly into supporting triathletes of all levels.
Having now competed in multiple triathlons as an adult, alongside my earlier years in the sport, I understand both the practical and personal challenges of balancing training with everyday life. I know what it feels like to return to the sport, rebuild fitness, set new goals, and commit to a long-term plan. That experience is at the heart of my coaching philosophy.
For me, triathlon should be accessible, enjoyable and meaningful for everyone whether you’re completing your first event, chasing a PB, or pushing towards higher performance. I believe in structured, individualised coaching that supports the athlete as a whole person, not just a set of training numbers.
My aim is to help athletes develop confidence, knowledge and consistency through clear communication, honest feedback and a plan that fits their life not the other way around. The combination of strength, endurance, mindset and smart planning is what makes this sport so rewarding, and I’m committed to guiding athletes through that journey.
