I have been privileged over the past 30 years to gain some incredible experiences not only from my own triathlon journey but with my clients achieving their own goals.
It has always been a priority for me to help others discover their potential, drawing on my knowledge and experience from my various coaching qualifications and my own highs and lows of training and competing.
The client-coach relationship is vital in supporting your hard work and commitment and is something I like to establish during the initial consultation.
The creation of an individualised training plan is the key to your success and has been something I have always developed myself for my own training rather than relying on generic programmes.
Through 1:1 meeting’s and the use of training peaks, I aim to educate my clients on how and why they train, enabling them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to take them successfully through their training and completion of their event. Dedicating my time to developing an athlete’s support network and being part of a team of coaches, helps me to assist my clients to overcome any difficulties they may be experiencing if and when they arise.
Taking myself from a point where I was barely able to swim, I have had the amazing experience of representing GB in my age group as well as completing numerous Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events.
Regardless of whether my clients are first time triathletes, aiming to gain a PB in any of the distances from sprint to Ironman or looking to qualify and represent GB in their age group drives my passion for the sport and to continue to challenge myself in my own training and professional development.
My belief has always been if you ‘fail to plan you are planning to fail’.
